4-Person Team Event (Co-ed, All-Male, All-Female; Rx and Scaled)

This year we are adding a Kids Competition (Individual)!

(age divisions: 5-7; 8-10; 11-13)

"Under the Lights" of Pisgah Memorial Stadium, Canton, NC

Note: This event will cap at 40 teams!

$280 per team

$30 per individual child

Athlete check-in for the kids competition will be 4pm.

Athlete check-in for team competition will be 5pm.

Forke in the Road will be on-site as a food vendor!

WOD 1

Time: 8 minute AMRAP of 5 Hang Cleans + 5 STO

This will be a relay style event. For example: Athlete A will complete 5 HC + 5 STO then Partner B will do 5 HC + 5 STO and so on until all four athletes complete sequence. Athletes must continue this rotation for as long as many rounds and reps as possible in 8 minutes. Teams will have the opportunity to choose between four weight loads for the 8 minutes. You cannot change the weight once the AMRAP starts. Score will be total of pounds lifted. (Ex. Team chooses #135 and each athlete completes 4 rounds would be 21,600 in weight).

All athletes must lift the same weight as a team. Strategy will come into play here.

Weight options:

RX Male- #135, 155 , 185, 205                 RX Female- #95, 105, 115, 125

Scaled Male-#95, 115, 135, 155               Scaled Female-#65, 75, 95, 105

*CoED will lift the above weights for male/female listed above

Each athlete must complete 5 HC + 5 STO before the next athlete can go.

HC can be a power, squat or muscle clean. STO can be strict, push press or jerk.

WOD 2

WOD 2 A and B:

This is a two part workout with a 14 minute time cap.

WOD 2A: For Time (14 minute Time Cap)

This will be performed in pairs.

60-40-20 of:

Wallball

Deadlift

Pair A will begin with WB, Pair B will begin with Deadlifts. Each pair must complete 60 reps. Once both pairs have completed their 60 reps, they will change movements. Now Pair B will perform 60 WB and Pair A will perform 60 DL. They will continue this for the rounds of 40 & 20. The pairs cannot begin the next movement until both pairs have completed the reps they were on. However, individual pairs can partition the reps as they want. For example Pair A- one partner can do 40 Wallballs and other partner do 20. Time is called when both pairs are done with the 20 reps or when the clock reaches 14 minutes.

If teams complete all repetitions of WB and DL before the 14 minute cap, they will use the remaining time to complete WOD 2B, 3 RM Front Squat (racked).

Score for 2B will be each individuals best 3RM FS. Total weight from each individual athlete. If time allows each athlete can have multiple attempts.
